Ten members of the PeSTAB (Brunei Arts Enthusiast Association) led by Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Said, left for Jakarta, Indonesia to perform at the Jakarta International Folklore Festival in Banteng, Indonesia from today to Sunday.
The group will also perform at the 7th China-ASEAN Theatre Week in Nanning, China after their performance in Jakarta.
They will showcase a 15-minute performance on Kampong Air song, Tarian Tak Bamban and Dang Mengalai at Artspace.
A 15-minute performance of Kayum Berkasih, Nandung Pulau and Alus Jua Dindang songs as well as Joget Baju Putih dance will be performed at the main stage.
Performers from Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam and South Korea will also take part.
Meanwhile, the group will perform the Joget Baju Putih dance for the opening ceremony and an hour performance of ethnic and traditional songs and dances at the 7th ASEAN Theatre Week in Nanning from September 15-19.
This is the fourth time that the group is representing the country showcasing Brunei culture in the international arena.
