ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Brunei’s council members attended the Chairmanship Handover ceremony, 95th ASEAN-BAC Meeting and the 21st Joint Business Council (JBC) Meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia recently.
The events saw participation of almost 100 delegates from the private sector from the 10 ASEAN member states.
ASEAN-BAC Brunei member and Chair of Digital Transformation Working Group Haslina binti Haji Mohd Taib gave a presentation where she said the working group will be organising a series of roundtables with regional experts and industry players to solicit recommendations on the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA).
Updates on Brunei legacy project AKREDI (ASEAN Digital Credentials Platform) were also presented. AKREDI focussed on a data wallet for professional identity, capability and mobility; building digital services through ASEAN Digital Talents and Transformation Community ADTX; and creating a shared ecosystem for trade flow harmonisation in the Borneo Corridor.
