Brunei archers compete in virtual regional meet

Brunei Darussalam archers recently competed in the Nightmare LMA Challenge 2020 organised by the Lagenda Memanah Al-Kelantani, based in Kelantan, Malaysia.

Archery clubs from Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia took part in the competition in their countries, with scores compiled online.

The Bruneian archers comprised 26 from the Setia Bersatu Archery Club (SBAC) and six from Ar-Rafi Archery.

Khairul Ariffin bin Haji Baha of SBAC finished seventh in the compound open category after accumulating a total of 543 points while his teammate Haji Abdul Hafiz bin Abdullah finished in 23rd place in the barebow open category.

Meanwhile in the SBAC Mini Game event, Khairul Ariffin was the highest ranked among a group of archers in the men compound bow while Haji Abdul Hafiz led a group of archers in the men barebow event.

Siti Nur Amal Rashidah binti Haji Yussof amassed the most points in the women barebow event while Mohd Rosman bin Roslin bested his field in the men’s traditional bow event.

Meanwhile, Hajah Amas binti Haji Yassin topped her field in the women’s traditional bow event.
