Brunei archer competes in Selangor meet

Brunei Darussalam archer Khairul Ariffin bin Haji Baha recently competed in the Selangor International Barebow Archery Championship 2023 at the National Sports Council (NSC) Sports Complex in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

He was ranked 101st out of 195 archers in the championship.

The Peak Club archery coach accumulated a total of 498 points ahead of an opponent from Sabah State Archery Association and behind DBKL Archery Club.

The two-day meet was open to archery clubs and associations within Malaysia and overseas.

It initially began with the practice round followed by the qualification rounds for both men and women on the second day. 

The tournament concluded with the final matches on the third and last day with competitors vying for medals.

The tournament was organised by the Selangor Archery Association (SELAR) in collaboration with the National Archery Association of Malaysia (NAAM), National Sports Council (NSC), Malaysia, Selangor State Sports Council and Petaling District Archery Association (PETALA).
