    Briefing throws light on Demerit Point System

    A total of 27 staff members of the Mashhor General Contractor Sdn Bhd (MGCSB) attended a briefing on demerit point system, Driver Safety Practice System (SiKAP) at the company’s main office at Jalan Pangsa, Seria yesterday.

    The briefing was aimed at providing knowledge and awareness on the SiKAP system, and to instil safe driving habit among the staff.

    Senior Enforcement Officer at the Land Transport Department Pengiran Khairul Yusra bin Pengiran Haji Md Yusuf, Enforcement Officer Pengiran Mohd Said bin Matzin, and Car Inspector Halimah binti Haji Mos from the Brunei National Road Safety Council (MKKJR) delivered the briefing.

    MGCSB Corporate HSSE Manager Mohd Rizal bin Dr Haji Abdul Latif welcomed the speakers and briefed them on the company’s goal and policies with regard to road safety; as well as the commitment in ensuring the safety of everyone on the road.

    Pengiran Khairul Yusra briefed the attendees on various offences that can lead to points being awarded towards suspension or revocation of the driving licence. A question-and-answer session was also held.

    The event concluded with the presentation of token of appreciation to the speakers by Mohd Rizal.
