Breaking the ice with convoy

A group of Alfa Romeo owners went for a ride together, marking their first outing, hosted by the carmaker’s local authorised distributor GHK Motors Sdn Bhd last Saturday.

The group met at the showroom in Sumbangsih Bahagia prior to the convoy.

Accompanying the group was Alfa Romeo Brunei Marketing Executive Jason Chai, who noted that despite the small number of attendees, it was an ice breaker for the members.

Chai said the community was formed for car enthusiasts as well as under the first Italian brand badge known for its racing heritage.

He added, “Further plans are on the way to grow the community as well as being in line with the Alfa Romeo tagline ‘la meccanica delle emozioni’ which means the mechanic of motions.”

The participating Alfa Romeo Giulia comprised the high-performance Giulia Quadrifoglio and the mid range Giulia Veloce.

Commenting on the Giulia, Noor Mohamed noted the styling exudes character.

“They are not supercars but they make you feel like you are driving one.

“They have a certain undefinable ‘something’ that makes them stand out,” he said.

Maf echoed the sentiment by saying, “I love the design, how unique it is and the technology behind the car which makes driving enjoyable.”

Giulia owner Farid, meanwhile, said the elegant feature is a plus.

The convoy ride concluded at the Mulia Hotel where the group was greeted by GHK Motors Director Jake Goh.
