Book Bazaar 2021 gathers bookworms

Book Bazaar 2021 made its way to the Municipal Hall of Belait District, an event first launched by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin in Temburong District, to mark the 37th National Day celebration.

Participating agencies included the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP); the Brunei History Centre; the Museums Department; the State Mufti’s Office; Brunei Islamic Library; Islamic Da’wah Centre; Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA); Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB); Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE); Mindtrex Academy; and Marleina Trading Company Sdn Bhd.

The event, aimed at promoting a reading culture among youth, was also joined by village consultative councils (MPKs) and members of Youth Development Centre. The Book Bazaar, launched for the first time this year, is set to be an annual event.
