A restaurant was slapped with a BND1,000 fine by the Enforcement Division of Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi) yesterday in violation of Regulation 12, Building Control (Advertisement, Billboard and Signboard) Regulations, 2016, for putting up two advertisement displays without permission.
The advertisements were put up at Jerudong Shopping Complex in Kampong Jerudong and Abdul Razak Complex in Gadong.
The restaurant was given 14 days to settle the fine.
ABCi reminded the public to seek authorised advertising company with valid registration and obtain permission for any signs or billboards for display outside business premises.
