Officers and staff members from the Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) attended an Adat Istiadat briefing at the Mini Theatre, SPARK Centre, Kampong Sungai Liang yesterday.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BMC Abdul Mu’izz bin Dato Paduka Haji Alikhan welcomed members from the Department of Adat Istiadat Negara led by Adat Istiadat Officer Mohammad Zaizul bin Haji Daud.
Mohammad Zaizul spoke on the history and protocols of Adat Istiadat that are to be followed, especially during national ceremonies and events.
This helped to enhance the participants’ exposure to the protocol arrangements, as well as the proper addressing when greeting royalty and titled individuals following the Sultanate’s customs. The talk was also made available through live streaming for BMC personnel at the main office.
The session ended with the presentation of a token of appreciation to Mohammad Zaizul by Abdul Mu’izz.
