Sixty members of the Thai community in Brunei Darussalam and ‘Friends of Thailand’ joined a celebration to mark the birth anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand and Thailand’s Father’s Day, which falls on December 5.

The celebration, in the form of a blood donation drive, was organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, at the Blood Donation Centre, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Wanthanee Viputwongsakul handed over Thai food to RIPAS Hospital Acting Chief Executive Officer Special Grade Abdol Hazis bin Haji Ahad as a token of appreciation to the officers and staff at the Blood Donation Centre for their hard work and dedication.

Thai delicacies were also presented to blood donors.

The blood donation drive was the third of its kind hosted by the embassy.

The first was held at the embassy on November 13 last year and the second at the Blood Donation Centre, RIPAS Hospital on May 28.
