Some 37 pints of blood were collected during a five-hour blood donation campaign organised by AIA Brunei at its headquarters at Pavo Point, Jalan Kianggeh in the capital yesterday.
The campaign was in collaboration with Blood Donation Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
An AIA Brunei spokesperson said the annual campaign aims to assist the Blood Donation Centre to ensure a sufficient supply of blood especially for emergencies and those in need of blood transfusions.
“We have been organising the drive on a yearly basis, and for 2022 AIA has organised two blood donation campaigns. Moving forward, we aim to organise the blood drive on a quarterly basis.
“The campaign has received support not only among AIA staff members but also from customers and the public.”
