The Rotary Club of Belait is organising a blood donation campaign on July 25 to help bolster the blood supplies in the district.

The drive will be held from 9am to 2pm at the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board’s multi-purpose hall located along Jalan Bunga Raya in Kuala Belait.

Club President Henritta Hiew noted that the campaign aims to raise awareness on the significance of blood donation to save lives, improving health and helping sustain an adequate supply at the national blood bank.

“Everyone can make a difference because every donation can save lives. This year Rotary International’s theme is ‘Serve to Change Lives’ which not only as a Rotarian but everyone can do their part to change the lives of others. We welcome and thank the public in anticipation of their strongest support,” she said.

She added that a packet of blood can save up to three lives.

The donation campaign is supported by the Blood Bank of Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, Aewon Brunei and Buccaneer Restaurant.
