BORNEO United Enterprise Sdn Bhd organised an annual blood donation drive with over 60 officers and staff members yesterday.

Led by the company’s Managing Director Stanley Lim Hock Ghim, the two-hour campaign was held at the Blood Donation Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.

According to the managing director, the company hold blood drives at least four times a year, as part of its corporate social responsibility. He encouraged members of the public who are healthy to donate blood for those in need.

“In Brunei, we live in a very close society where people generously help each other. When a message is circulated on a person in need of blood, Bruneian donors will be quick to act,” said Stanley Lim.

Donors were provided with refreshments throughout the campaign to keep up strength and morale.

Borneo United Enterprise Sdn Bhd also donated to the Therapeutic Garden at RIPAS Hospital opposite of the Blood Donation Bank. It was built in September 2002 and now caters for patients undergoing therapy as well as general public.
