Bleeding for a good cause

Fifteen Muara Maritime Services employees donated blood at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre on their off day yesterday.

Md Azzamuddin Hadimin Athiruddin headed the group with donors from the company’s Shipyard Services Workshop Department. He said this is Muara Maritime Services’ first corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to answer the call by the Ministry of Health (MoH) for more blood donation.

Company Director Geerd Brefka and Commercial Managing Director Mohd Noh Madali were present at the campaign.

Muara Maritime Services located at Royal Brunei Navy camp is a joint venture of Darussalam Assets and Lurssen Internaval GmbH to provide maintenance and logistic services to the navy.

Meanwhile, RIPAS Hospital Blood Donation Centre said the blood bank is still in need of more supply.
