Bidding opens for diplomatic photos

Bidding for images showcased at the recent ‘Brunei Darussalam from the Eyes of Foreign Diplomats and their Families’ photography exhibition is open to the public.

According to a Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) press release, the minimum bid for a photograph is BND50. All proceeds will go to the BIBD corporate social responsibility (CSR) Raised Funds to support the development of BIBD CSR initiatives such as BIBD ALAF (Advocating Life-Long Learning for an Aspiring Future).

The tender form and collection can be accessed at All tenders must be submitted to the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) e-mail at [email protected] before noon on February 15, 2021 with the terms and conditions form, copy of tenderer IC and the deposit slip of 10 per cent (tender deposit) payable to BIBD (BIBD CSR Raised Funds account 00-001-01-0400011). Successful bidders will be notified via e-mail or phone calls. Upon successful bidding, the bidder will be required to deposit the remaining amount to the BIBD CSR Raised Funds account 00-001-01-0400011 and provide a copy of the deposit slip.

The exhibition, organised by diplomatic corps in Brunei, was held at the Royal Regalia Museum from December 16 to 26, 2020. The showcase continued at the Belait Museum on December 29, 2020, BIBD Heritage Branch in Temburong District before the final showcase at Tutong’s Tourist Information Centre which began on January 23.

Nineteen foreign diplomatic missions in the Sultanate contributed 210 photos carrying 109 themes in the exhibit.

The exhibition ended on February 2. The photos are available for viewing via a QR code which can be obtained on BIBD’s social media.
