It is important for employees who are close contact to be responsible and properly screen for COVID-19 with the antigen rapid test (ART) kit daily as well as follow strict health protocols in the workplace, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the daily press conference yesterday.
He said this in response to public concern over those with red code on their Bruhealth app being allowed to work in the office.
“There is a risk. However with daily screening prior to entering the workplace, it will prevent infected individuals from entering the premises,” said the minister.
Face masks must be worn at all times and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
“If an employee tests negative for COVID-19 but exhibits flu like symptoms, he or she is not allowed in the office and instead should be responsible and stay at home,” he added.
