BDTA gets new executive committee members

The Brunei Darussalam Taekwondo Association (BDTA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Lecture Theatre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium with the main agenda to appoint new Executive Committee members for session 2020 – 2021 recently.

The meeting was attended by the outgoing members of the Executive Committee, working committees, registered black belt holders from all taekwondo clubs in the country, as well as representatives from the Department of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The meeting began with welcoming remarks from the BDTA President 2018 – 2020, Haji Tajudin bin Haji Md Salleh, who highlighted the need for all black belt holders to be more active in the administration of the association as they have the potential of bringing taekwondo in the country and the association to new heights with fresh ideas and initiatives, but keeping in mind the importance of integrity and trust among each other.

He thanked outgoing Executive Committee members for their dedication and contribution to the development of taekwondo in the last two years.

The meeting also saw the presentation of the activity and financial reports for 2018 to 2020 by the BDTA Secretary General before the official dissolution of the Executive Committee members session 2018 – 2020. This was followed by the nomination and voting of the new Executive Committee members for session 2020 – 2021.

Haji Tajudin was appointed the President while Lim Ting San was appointed Vice President. Pengiran Abdul Raub bin Pengiran Haji Ghani was appointed the Secretary General 1, Nur Farazida binti Haji Abdullah Secretary General 2, Nikman Wa’ie bin Abdullah Kwa Secretary General 3, Haji Mohd Firdaus bin Haji Bohari Treasurer and Lydia Marsha binti Mohd Ibrahim was appointed Assistant Treasurer. The meeting also discussed several matters before it ended with a group photo with the new-line up and all members present.
