THE Brunei Darussalam Capital Market Association (BCMA) Investment has organised an appreciation luncheon for its outgoing Chairperson Haji Minorhadi bin Haji Mirhassan.
Haji Minorhadi was the first chairperson for the BCMA and has held the post for two terms. Haji Minorhadi, who is currently the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), has been instrumental in setting-up of the BCMA.
Under his chairmanship, he has successfully led the association in organising various events such as the BCMA Investment Challenge for higher education institutions and other informative and educational events.
Last year, BCMA supported a Hong Kong-based magazine, Asia Asset Management, in organising an Investment, Capital Markets and Finance related roundtable in Brunei.
During the luncheon, Haji Minorhadi received an appreciation gift from the Acting Chairman of BCMA Kamal bin Haji Muhammad. The luncheon was attended by members of the association comprising local Capital Market Service Licence holders.
Kamal said, “We would like to wish Haji Minorhadi the best in his current and future endeavours. The BCMA has an optimistic outlook for 2019 and we hope our association will be able to achieve our objective to enhance the Brunei capital markets and to maintain the industry’s professionalism. We anticipate an exciting year ahead.”
