The road off Jalan Chempaka near the Tumasek petrol station has long been a hazardous area due to a number of drivers speeding to and from the opposite side of the two-way lanes, increasing the possibility of a collision with cars moving along the main stretch.
There have been so many accidents there, including one that I was involved in. When I approached the insurance company to make a claim, they seemed unsurprised by my misfortune.
How many more accidents have to take place before the authorities decide to put a stop to it? As such, I would like to call on the authorities to put up a traffic barrier between the two-way lanes.
Residents in the area may disagree on the basis of inconvenience but considering the frequency of accidents, their complaints are moot.
