A 34-year-old Bangladeshi man denied a charge on Saturday alleging him of outraging the modesty of a 21-year-old local woman.
Senior Magistrate Azrimah binti Abdul Rahman adjourned the case against Mohammad Photu to July 10 for trial dates to be fixed.
The court also did not render bail to the defendant on agreeing with DPP Fitri Kiprawi’s submissions.
“(The prosecution) objects to bail because defendant is a foreigner with no local ties and he is neighbours with the victim,” DPP Fitri pressed.
The defendant allegedly touched the victim’s private parts at the victim’s house in Berakas at 11am on June 19.
