Bangladeshi fined for trespassing at KLIA2

SEPANG (Bernama) – A Bangladeshi businessman was fined RM1500, in default three months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, for trespassing onto the departure hall area at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) last week.

Magistrate Akhiruddin[email protected] Acho meted out the fine on Md Anoy Mahmud, 23, after he pleaded guilty to the charge. Md Anoy paid the fine.

The offence was committed at KLIA2 International Departure Hall Gate P9 at 9.52pm on July 9.

The charge framed under Section 447 of the Penal Code provides for a jail term of up to six months or a maximum fined of RM3,000 or both.

According to the facts of the case, the accused climbed over the departure hall gate door in an attempt to get to the boarding gate when he was late for a Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka flight which was scheduled to depart at 9.55pm.
