Bangladeshi accused of stealing from employer remanded

A BANGLADESHI man was ordered by the Magistrate’s Court to remain in police custody to facilitate investigations.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Sabrina binti Haji Mahmud alleged Abul Hossain, 43, to have stolen scaffolding materials from his employer on February 20.

The charge carries a penalty of imprisonment, which may be extended to seven years, and a fine.

Magistrate Pengiran Hazirah binti Pengiran Haji Md Yusof adjourned the case to March 2.
