Baiduri fetes Belait clients in open house

CUSTOMERS and business associates of Baiduri Bank Group filled the Royal Garden Hall at Garden Sentral Hotel for the first of two Chinese New Year open houses hosted by the bank yesterday.

Baiduri Bank Group invited customers and business associates from Belait District to celebrate the Lunar New Year in this annual event.

Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank Pierre Imhof said, “Every year, we organise this get together with our clients and business associates with the aim of reconnecting and further strengthening the relationship with them. Our clients and partners here have contributed greatly to the overall success of the group.”

The celebration started with a traditional dance performed by students from Chung Hua Middle School Kuala Belait (CHMS KB) titled 24 Festive Drums and Dance. There was also a Wushu performance by CHMS KB students.

There was a Chinese calligraphy demonstration by Chong Hao Wen. He wrote a Chinese phrase wishing long lasting prosperity and good fortune for the group and presented the scroll to the CEO of Baiduri Bank as a gift.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of financial assistance for underprivileged students of six schools in Kuala Belait and Seria.

The schools that received donations were Chung Ching Middle School Seria, CHMS KB, Chung Hwa School Labi, St Angela’s School, St John’s School and St Margaret’s School. Pierre Imhof presented the donations.

The second Chinese New Year open house will be at The Empire Hotel & Country Club for clients in the Brunei-Muara District and Tutong District today.
