Baiduri Bank Group presented a donation for medical frontliners assisting to combat COVID-19 yesterday at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Sports Complex.
The donations, comprising 100 sets of weekly grocery supplies and other basic household necessities, were handed over by Deputy CEO of Baiduri Bank Pengiran Azaleen bin Pengiran Dato Haji Mustapha to CEO of RIPAS Hospital Haji Abdul Khalid As’ari bin Haji Azahari.
The donations are in response to the call by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah to support the frontline medical teams. It is also part of Baiduri Bank Group’s corporate social responsibility programme which has been expanded to cover those in need during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Pengiran Azaleen said, “This donation is a gesture of our appreciation to the dedicated medical frontliners involved in the COVID-19 outbreak. With their unwavering dedication in caring for patients, we understand that these heroes are hard pressed for time to go out to purchase their basic necessities.
“We hope that our donations are able to provide some relief,” he added. He said this is the first of a number of initiatives Baiduri Bank Group has planned to help frontliners and their customers during these trying times.
Baiduri Bank’s Head of Group Treasury and Institutional Banking Awangku Nor Muhd Nizam bin Pengiran Haji Tengah and Senior Communications Officer Muiz bin Dato Paduka Haji Adnan were also present.
