Bahagia Tanpa Kekasih gets him top spot

Fakhrul Razi with the song Bahagia Tanpa Kekasih, which he composed and wrote, emerged as champion of the Express E-Hits Awards organised by Radio Television Brunei (RTB) at Dewan Raya on Saturday.

The first runner-up was Dayat Ahim with song Anggun written by Sang Hikayat and composed by Ezuone, while the second runner-up was Neff Aslee with the song Diam written by Faz Azamain and composed by Neff himself.

Zuden Karem won Best Performance Award for the song Gadis Sebelah Rumah written by Kay Moksin, Jazz Hayat and Zuden Karem, and composed by Kay Moksin, while Dayat Ahim also bagged Best VocalAward.

Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman presented the awards to the winners.

Acting Permanent Secretary (Civil Service, Welfare, International and Media) at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Haji Muhammad Suffian bin Haji Bungsu and Acting Director of RTB Haji Azman bin Haji Abdul Rahim were also present.

The overall champion took home a BND3,000 cash prize along with electronic goods, a bouquet of flowers and a trophy.

The first runner-up received BND2,000, along with electronic goods, a bouquet of flowers and a trophy, while the second runner-up won BND1,000, along with electronic goods, a bouquet of flowers and a trophy.

The winners for Best Performance and Best Vocal each took home BND500, along with electronic goods and a bouquet of flowers.

The event was one of RTB’s continuing efforts to support the arts industry while nurturing local talents such as composers, lyricists and singers.

The event was held in private, attended only by the participants’ immediate family member. In adhering to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in controlling the spread of COVID-19, attendees were also required to wear face masks throughout the event.
