BAG Networks recently organised a series of religious and charitable activities for its personnel and the community in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.

This year, one of the main activities for its personnel is a daily Tedarus Al-Quran session at its premises which will culminate with a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony on the last day of Ramadhan.

BAG Networks also hosted a mass Zohor prayer and lecture, followed by a Zakat Fitrah session for the Anggerek Desa Tech Park community.

The talk focussed on Surah Al-Ma’idah concepts of ‘Cooperation in Righteousness and Piety’, presented by Ustazah Norhayati binti Haji Abdul Rahman from the Islamic Da’wah Centre. The activities closed with a visitation to cemetery and Tahlil at Rangas and Batu Tiga Muslim cemeteries.

BAG Networks also spearheaded alms-giving and charity efforts, kicking off with donating 600 bottles of Air Zamzam to Muslim patients at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital, Bandar Seri Begawan and Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah (PMMPMHAMB) Hospital, Tutong. The donations were received by representatives Chief Nursing Officer (Administration) of RIPAS Hospital Haji Salleh Kamal bin Haji Badarudin and Nursing Officer of PMMPMHAMB Hospital Masrani binti Haji Mohd Noor.

Additionally, BAG Networks organised its annual donation drive, Projek Amal BAG Prihatin, in partnership with Hand4Handbn and Mixmediaworx (MMW). Donations were collected in the form of food and household items and handed over to 12 underprivileged families in the Brunei-Muara District.

According to Project Leader Hajah Siti Zaimah binti Haji Tuah, “Ramadhan is the perfect time to strengthen our faith as well as to assist the less fortunate through Zakat and donation. We are very grateful to all the support from BAG Networks management and personnel as well as the community during this holy month.”
