Babies born on RBAF anniversary receive gifts

Eight of the 14 babies born on the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 61st anniversary celebration on Tuesday, received gifts at a ceremony at the Women and Children Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital yesterday.

Datin Ummisyafinah binti Haji Zaini, wife of the Commander of the RBAF, accompanied by the wife of the RBAF’s Chief of Staff, presented the gifts.

Meanwhile, Hajah Azizah binti Haji Miramit, wife of Joint Force Commander, presented gifts to the six babies born at the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, Kuala Belait. Each newborn received gifts from the RBAF, RBAF Wives’ Welfare Body (BAKTI), Cooperative Limited Company of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (KOWIRA) and the Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS).

The celebration and presentation of gifts is an annual event to welcome newborns every May 31 in conjuction with RBAF’s anniversary.

In attendance at the separate events were RBAF officers, chief executive officers and staff from the hospitals, and BAKTI’s administrative committee representatives.
