Muhammad Azri bin Abdul Harith emerged winner in the Brunei History Centre Teqball Mini Tournament at the Brunei History Centre in the capital yesterday.
The newly-crowned winner beat Ismail Ang, who finished runners-up, in straight sets, while Mohd Alliffuddin bin Jamaludin came third.
Ten players divided into two groups vied for honours in the two-day meet, which began on Saturday.
Group ‘A’ comprised Hanis Hidayatullah, Haji Muhd Hairungllah, Azri Abdul Harith, Haji Muhammad Isa and Ismail Ang.
Meanwhile, Hadi Ariffin Matali, Alliffuddin Jamaludin, Amiruddin Mohammad, Basyiruddin Haji Kamis and Hadi Saidin were in Group ‘B’.
The top two players from each group, contested in a round robin format, advanced into the knock-out phase.
Brunei History Centre senior history officer Muhammad Syahmi bin Halimshah presented the prizes. The tournament was organised by the Brunei Teqball Association.
