Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) held an award presentation ceremony in conjunction with its convocation ceremony yesterday.
Minister of Education cum Chairperson of the UTB Council Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh presented awards.
UTB Vice-Chancellor Datin Paduka Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman in a speech expressed hope that award recipients will inspire others as well as contribute to local development.
She said the Dean’s List Award recipients are also expected to continue their quest for knowledge and success.
The minister presented awards to 17 academics and staff as well as the Graduate Excellence Award to outstanding students.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications Ir Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof presented the Dean’s List Award to 52 recipients and miscellaneous awards to eight recipients. Eight students also received the People’s Choice Award for the UTB Project Showcase 2023. – Azlan Othman
