The Brunei Darussalam Association of Writers (ASTERAWANI) recently held an appreciation ceremony for three of its members who received awards.
The event at De Coral Restaurant and Catering Services began with a speech by Head of ASTERAWANI I Associate Professor Dr Ampuan Haji Brahim bin Ampuan Haji Tengah.
The three members feted at the ceremony were Associate Professor Haji Hashim bin Haji Abdul Hamid who received Meritous Teacher’s award 2020 in conjunction with the 31st National Teachers Day; Haji Mohd Daud bin Taha received Meritous Teacher’s award for 2021; and Dr Haji Morsidi bin Muhammad who received the SEA Write award for Brunei Darussalam for the year 2021.
Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab presented the certificates of appreciation.
Pehin Orang Kaya Putera Maharaja Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Ghani bin Pehin Dato Haji Abdul Rahman and members of ASTERAWANI were also present.
