Association celebrates 33rd anniversary

University of the Philippines Circle in Brunei (UPCB) celebrated its 33rd anniversary recently with the induction of new officers and paying tribute to its members leaving the Sultanate.

The new officers include president Dr Joey Santos, vice president Toni Therese Bernardo, secretary Atty Czar Calabazaron, treasurer Shiegrid Sanoy and auditor Mike Toquero.

UPCB, established in July 16, 1991, is a non-profit, academic and professional association of graduates of the UP presently working or residing in the Sultanate with 13 founding members.

The association is registered with the Brunei Registrar of Societies and recognised as a foreign chapter of the UP Alumni Association. It calls on its members to serve the country through academic excellence, professional commitment and community service while promoting closer ties between the people of Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines.
