NATIONAL 10-pin bowler Natasya Rafie returned last weekend with another gold medal in her repertoire after clinching the title of Champion in the Women’s Graded division as well as fifth place in the Youth Girls Open division of the 51st Singapore International Open.
This is Natasya’s second gold and fifth podium finish in international tournaments within eight months. The 18-year-old was the first Bruneian ever to win the Singapore International Open Bowling Championship.
The Singapore International Open saw 12 countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, South Korea, the United States and Ireland.
The win sees Natasya’s official entry into the open division where she will compete with the region’s and world’s best.
Natasya will continue participating in regional tournaments as well as undergo intensive training in the hope of competing at the SEA Games in the Philippines at the end of the year.
