Twenty-one amils in the Belait District received appointment letters from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) at a ceremony at Pekan Seria Mosque yesterday. MUIB member Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Tasim bin Haji Akim, the guest of honour, presented the letters.
The amils will be assigned to one of 16 areas within the district to collect zakat ahead of Ramadhan.
