AMBD officers expand leadership skills

THE Centre For Islamic Banking, Finance and Management (CIBFM) held a graduation ceremony for the third cohort of the Young Executive Leadership Programme (YELP) at Meeting Room 4 of The Rizqun International Hotel recently.

Managing Director of Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) Yusof bin Haji Abdul Rahman was the guest of honour.

Acting Assistant Managing Director of AMBD Hajah Sufinah binti Haji Sahat as Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CIBFM along with senior officers from AMBD and CIBFM were also present.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Muhd Khairul Anuar bin Haji Abdul Rahman followed by closing remarks by Consultant from Singapore Institute of Management Sanjay Metha, who is also one of the YELP trainers.

Metha in his remarks expressed great optimism for the participants as the training has expanded their creativity and widened their perspectives on how to tackle challenges and projects in their workplace.

The participants for the third cohort of YELP comprised 15 AMBD officers. YELP consists of several modules and is designed to equip participants with a comprehensive perspective and set of skills to enhance their management and leadership capabilities.

The skills developed by the participants through the training includes planning and organising skills, people management, networking skills and leadership.

YELP is an exclusive leadership programme customised for AMBD and was first introduced in 2016.
