AMBD conducts exercise on Cybersecurity Incident Response and Handling

AUTORITI Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD), in collaboration with Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team (BruCERT), recently organised its first exercise for all banks and financial companies on Cybersecurity Incident Response and Handling, according to a press release.

The cybersecurity exercise, conducted by AMBD and BruCERT officers, was participated by System Administrators and IT Security officers from Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), Baiduri Bank Berhad, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), Maybank, United Overseas Bank (UOB), Bank of China, RHB Brunei, Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB), BIBD At-Tamwil Berhad and Baiduri Finance.

The cybersecurity exercise was aimed to enhance partnership among policymakers in AMBD and financial institutions in Brunei Darussalam through validation and improvement in information sharing mechanisms. Other objectives included reaffirmation of the points-of-contact between AMBD and its dialogue partners as well as providing eopportunity for the participants to practise, and refine their incident handling procedures in the event of cybersecurity incidents.
