    Ambassador joins beach cleaning campaign

    Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam Yu Hong joined 80 personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy in a Community Relation (COMREL) beach cleaning activity in Muara Beach yesterday morning.

    Also taking part were Political Commissar of PLA Navy Dalian Naval Academy Rear Admiral Yu Wenbing, who is also the head of delegation onboard the training Ship Qi Jiguang, Chinese Embassy staff and representatives from local Chinese companies.

    The participants walked along the stretch of Muara Beach accompanied by a senior representative from the RBN, Commander Mohammad Zouhdy bin Haji Abdul Razak.

    The beach cleaning activity was part of the three-day goodwill visit programme of the PLA Navy set to further strengthen bilateral ties, which is not limited only to military exercise but also COMREL activities and professional exchanges.
