This year will see 56 participating in the semi-finals. Of that figure, 26 were selected through the Al-Quran Reading Competition (District Level), while the remaining 30 were participants of last year’s Al-Quran Reading Competition (National Adult) semi-final.
The names of the winners of the semi-final will be announced on January 10 at the ICC.
The competition aims to encourage Qari and Qariah to improve their reading of Al-Quran and to gain the public interest in learning the proper techniques of Al-Quran reading.
The National Adult Al-Quran Reading competition is one of the annual projects of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
