AL IDRUS FT booked their place in the final of the Al Idrus FA Cup after two goals in either half helped them to a 2-0 win over RB Veteran at the Royal Brunei Recreation Centre Football Field yesterday.

The veteran giants began the first part of their quest for the double of winning both the Al Idrus Football League Championship and FA Cup.

They are also on course for a final appearance in the league competition having reached the last four.

Al Idrus FT forward Muhammad Nadzrin bin Abdullah has developed a habit of scoring four goals or more this campaign, but he settled for a solitary strike against RB Veteran in the 19th minute.

RB Veteran denied a titanic clash of individuals between Muhammad Nadzrin and Azamain Haji Masri when they eliminated Riwayat FC in the last eight.

Both players are undoubtedly the deadliest strikers this season, having shared a staggering 36 goals between them.

But the chances of an Al Idrus FT victory are further enhanced whenever leading scorer Muhammad Nadzrin meets the target and his goal helped calm his team’s nerves. Md Sadly bin Abdullah Tujuh came off the bench to score two minutes from time to seal Al Idrus FT’s progress.

Al Idrus FT will meet eithe ITF or SM FC, who play against each other tomorrow for the other spot in the final.
