AITI customer services fully digitalised

The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) Online Services user interface will be upgraded and enhanced to provide users with a better experience and ease of managing their own accounts beginning March 1, AITI announced.

This initiative is executed and implemented based on the feedbacks received from the users of the portal.

The upgrade includes the latest installation of an interactive guide on the step-by-step process for the services available in the portal as well as an account summary of each service page for better accessibility of the multiple licences, permits and the applications applied for.

AITI Online Services was first introduced on May 30, 2017, as an alternative option to the physical customer counter service.

As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, AITI has implemented improvements of processes and enhancements of customer communication to support a period of extended counter closure.

With AITI Online Services, customers can submit applications and pay approved applications online 24/7 without having to be physically present at AITI’s office; automatic application validation process that allows shorter time to review submitted applications by the relevant AITI units during office hours; and access to all their records for past and current applications including documents in their designated registered accounts as everything is centralised into one location – the AITI Online Services.

The AITI Online Services can be accessed through for dealer Licence (new and renewal); apparatus/Station Licence (new and renewal); frequency usage application (new and renewal); and amateur radio licence (new including examination registration and renewal).

Customers can also use the service for dealer type approval (new and renewal), dealer import permit; personal import permit; numbering application; and consumer complaints.

The AITI Online Services supports secure online payment using debit and credit cards. Currently, bank account transfers, cash and cheque deposits (through cheque and cash deposit machines) are accepted for payment for BIBD and Baiduri Bank only.
