Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) unveiled its RB50 emblem on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner (V8-DLA), commemorating the airline’s 50-year legacy of connecting Brunei with the world, at Hangar 3, Brunei International Airport yesterday.
The unveiling of the RB50 Emblem is part of RB’s ‘Flight to 50’ celebrations, culminating on November 18 the airline’s golden anniversary, the airline said in a press release.
“The unveiling of the RB50 Emblem on our Boeing 787 Dreamliner is not just a celebration of our past but also a symbol of our commitment to the future,” RB’s Chief Executive Officer Captain Sabirin bin Haji Abdul Hamid said. “For 50 years, RB has played a vital role in safely connecting Brunei to people, cultures, and opportunities across the globe.
“This unveiling embodies our pride in what we’ve achieved and our vision for what’s to come.
“Our in-house engineering team has done an incredible job, and I’m thrilled to see this aircraft represent RB on the world stage.
“We invite our passengers, stakeholders, partners, and the Brunei community to join us on this exciting journey as we soar into the next 50 years.”
Today, the first flight featuring the RB50 Emblem departs from Brunei International Airport to Hong Kong at 10.35am, officially marking the start of RB’s 50th-anniversary countdown.
Following its inaugural flight to Hong Kong, the RB50 Dreamliner will become a travelling symbol of RB’s golden jubilee, as it continues to serve as Brunei’s ambassador in the skies.
The RB50 Emblem is a tribute to RB’s five decades of aviation excellence and safety record.
It was designed internally and applied by RB’s engineering team.
Over the next year, the Emblem will be showcased across RB’s fleet as it embarks on flights to regional and international destinations.
