Two local players reached the top-32 stage with Haji Muhammad Khairuddin bin Haji Hasnan falling to a 7-3 defeat to Loo Yew Keat while his compatriot Mohammad Qusyairi bin Zainuddin was edged 7-6 by Singapore’s Darren Young.
