AH UNITED and Al Idrus SC sealed their passage to the next round of the Al Idrus Football League Championship after preserving their unbeaten status against Stoneville and AKSE Bersatu, respectively during the last rounds of the veteran competition.
AH United breezed to a 4-1 victory over Stoneville in a top-of-the-table clash at the Jerudong Mini Stadium while a stalemate against AKSE Bersatu was enough to send Al Idrus SC through.
The two teams join tournament favourites Al Idrus FT, BSRC Veteran, PSJD, SM FC, RB Veteran, TJ FT, Riwayat Warriors, KB Warriors, Cleas V FC and Paguma FT in the next round.
Abang Norsilmy bin Abang Taha grabbed a brace in either side of the half in the 4-1 win with Othman bin Haji Apong and Irwan bin Mohammad also in the scoresheet.
Meanwhile, in Group ‘D’, ITF’s place in the next round looked to be under threat after a 3-2 win over Mangellela Veteran FC helped PMS climb above them.
The league continues today in Group ‘G’ with Besa FC taking on Gemilang Veteran while Riwayat play Combine KSKA at the Royal Brunei Recreation Club Field.
