Agritalk to highlight new farming methods

Registration for the Agritalk ‘Enhancing Crop-Soil Interactions for Sustainable Agricultural Efficiency’ is now open.

The talk, scheduled to be held on July 13 from 8am to noon, is organised by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Centre for Leadership and Lifelong Learning in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture of UNISSA.

The talk aims to educate farmers on new farming methods such as regenerative agriculture, circular farming, integrated farming, biological farming, organics farming, the use of transformed agro-wastes, and soil conditioning to improve soil and crop health.

The talk will also discuss topics including modern agricultural technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), hyperspectral, UAV, soil and crop sensors, infrared, artificial intelligence, digital imaging and light emitting dioxides, as well as resource optimisation to increase crop yield and profit while safeguarding the environment.
