Agri-talk boosts farming knowledge

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Agriculture Faculty (FP) in collaboration with Centre of Leadership and Lifelong Learning (PKSPH), held a agri-talk lecture on Smart Framing Approach to Maximise Soil, Soilless Media and Crop Productivity at its campus in Gadong on Saturday.

The lecture was conducted online by Professor Dr Ahmad Osumanu Haruna from Universiti Putra Malaysia to 42 participants made up of ministry officers and staff and young farmers.

The topics covered were on the need to ensure the agriculture system, which are agronomy, economy and environment are efficient, management of agricultural waste, soil issues, use of media plantation without soil, reducing the use of chemical fertiliser and natural method to control insect attacks and plant diseases.
