The Kampong Jerudong ‘B’ Village Consultative Council (MPK Jerudong ‘B’) together with the Kedayan Jerudong Heritage Association (WARISAN) organised several activities at the Bukit Mejawa Recreational Park in Kampong Jerudong on Saturday.
Some 50 MPK Kampong Jerudong ‘B’ members and villagers participated.
The event, which began with an aerobic session, sought to promote a healthy lifestyle within the community.
A cleaning campaign was also held at the park.
Bukit Mejawa, previously known as Pulau Mejawa, has a hiking trail covering a six-kilometre route, passing through seven hills and eight waterfalls.
With a rising trend in hiking activities, MPK Jerudong ‘B’ took the initiative to introduce the place as a recreational park for Jerudong and Mukim Sengkurong residents.
Together with WARISAN, they spruced up the area by putting up notices and paving the track.
The park is open to the public from 6am to 6pm, subject to weather conditions.
