Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia’s Anti-Corruption agencies discussed on-going efforts in joint operations and investigations including inter-agencies mutual legal assistance during an annual bilateral meeting in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Elinda binti Haji CA Mohammad led the Brunei delegation.
The 15th Annual Bilateral Meeting, hosted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), was co-chaired by MACC Chief Commissioner Latheefa Koya, the ACB said in a statement to the Sunday Bulletin.
Chiefs of the two agencies and their officers had a pre-bilateral discussion at the MACC Headquarters in Putrajaya on Thursday.
The chiefs reiterated and reaffirmed the bilateral cooperation between the ACB and MACC to boost both agencies’ capabilities in the prevention and investigation against corruption and related offences.
The ACB delegation toured the MACC’s new building.
