Abandoned cars removed from Kampong Tungku

SEVEN cars believed to have been abandoned in Kampong Tungku were towed during a joint operation ‘Bersih 82/2019’ led by the Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department’s Law Enforcement Unit on Saturday.

The operation also involved personnel from the Land Transport Department, disposal company Syarikat M Han Enterprise, and towing company Syarikat Dayang Limah dan Anak Anak.

Vehicles abandoned in public areas will be removed by the authorities under Section 84, Chapter 68 of the Road Traffic Act.

The Law Enforcement Unit reminded vehicle owners and workshop managers to be responsible for their vehicles and not leave them in public places.

The government stated that it will not take responsibility for any losses caused as a result of vehicles being abandoned in public areas under Section 68, Chapter 30 of the Road Traffic Act.
