With more than 69 international motoring awards to its name, the new 3008 GT is the latest addition to Peugeot Brunei’s line-up.

The 3008 along with the 5008 has sold over one million units in Europe since 2016, with the former selling 800,000 units alone, putting the brand on top of the European SUV sales in 2018 and 2019.

As a leader in the compact SUV market, the Peugeot 3008 has achieved an outstanding commercial performance in Europe and internationally.

Peugeot takes pride in presenting the new 3008 with an inspired new design that sets the tone for a new era of elegant modernity with a redesigned front end, new full LED rear lights, new body colours and a new ‘Black Pack’ option.

The front end of the new 3008 has evolved towards a style that is as distinctive and unique, while enhancing refinement and vibrancy.

The nose of the bonnet now proudly displays the model’s monogram, as does the entire Peugeot range.

The new frameless grille symbolises the increasingly modern style while maintaining a fluid design that extends with fins under the headlamps to connect all of the elements. Shiny black side scoops accentuate the vehicle’s sportiness and a painted treadplate is integrated with the new bumper design as standard.

The top level GT/GT Premium lines receive their own bespoke front grilles to stand out even more.

Redesigned to be more aggressive, the front headlights feature LED technology across the range and are extended by hook-shaped DRLs with a chrome tip.

This light signature is perfectly in line with the current Peugeot style and is identifiable at first glance.

The GT/GT Premium lines feature full LED headlights with an extended light signature that gives an even more high-tech and distinctive look, while the bend lighting function (EVS) optimises visibility at speeds of up to 90 kilometres per hour (km/h).

The new 3008 SUV comes with Fog Mode, which replaces the previous fog lights.

The mode is integrated into the full LED headlights and switches on the low beam headlights with reduced intensity when the rear fog lights are activated.

At the rear, new upgraded taillights feature full LED technology (including the reversing light) with Peugeot’s iconic three-claw rear light signature and sequential indicator lights.

The lights are covered with a clear, smoked glass, extending the black boot lid on each side of the vehicle, which helps to visually widen the rear of the vehicle.

The GT line also features a new 19-inch ‘San Francisco’ diamond-studded aluminium wheel on the side for an exclusive finish. In addition, the GT monograms on the front wings and boot lid have also been upgraded.

The 3008 embodies the power of choice, an idea the brand holds very dear, and it is available with a choice of diesel and petrol engines, as well as two hybrid options – Hybrid 4300 e-EAT8 or Hybrid 225 e-EAT8.

Efficient and powerful, the Hybrid 4300 e-EAT8 version was created by combining a 200hp (or 147kW) PureTech engine and two electric engines, with one at the front coupled to the e-EAT8 gearbox that reaches 110hp (or 81kW) and the second positioned on the rear axle for 112hp or 83kW.

The 4WD mode, which is also available in Electric mode, provides improved traction on roads and difficult terrain resulting in a flawless grip regardless on wet, muddy, snowy or winding roads, the power is distributed electronically and evenly across all four wheels of the vehicle.

The Hybrid 225 e-EAT8, on the other hand, combines a 180hp or 132kW PureTech engine with a 110hp or 80kW electric engine attached to the e-EAT8 gearbox.

Based on the Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2), both versions benefit from a multi-link rear suspension, creating a perfect balance between comfort and driving pleasure, all of which without affecting spaciousness and preserving the boot volume above the mat.

The Li-ion battery has a capacity of 13.2 kWh with two types of on-board chargers available to meet all customer needs and charging solutions, with a 3.7kW single-phase charger as standard and a 7.4kW single-phase charger as an option.

A full charge is estimated to take one hour and 45 minutes with the single-phase 7.4kW Wall Box on-board charger; four hours with a reinforced socket (16A) and single-phase (3.7kW) onboard charger; and seven hours with the single-phase (3.7kW) on-board charger.

The new 3008 comes with the latest driving aids and safety features to protect both its occupants and other road users

This includes a Driving Mode selector. Petrol and diesel models can choose between Normal, Sport and Eco modes; while hybrid models can switch between Electric (default mode on start-up), Hybrid, Sport and 4WD (for Hybrid 4300 models only) modes.

Another driving aid is the ‘Night Vision’, unique for the compact SUV segment, that allows drivers to view pedestrians and animals, at night or in reduced visibility, on the digital instrument panel up to 200 to 250 metres beyond the scope of the headlights.

With Peugeot’s latest generation Automatic Emergency Braking, it is capable of detecting both pedestrians and cyclists, day or night, at speeds from 5km/h to 140 km/h (depending on model).

Other driving aids include Advanced Grip Control (mud, snow, sand), Visiopark2 (360 camera), Park Assist and Blind-spot monitoring.

Meanwhile, the new 3008 sees Peugeot’s next generation digital i-Cockpit technology and a 10-inch high definition touchscreen that comes with seven elegant piano ‘toggle switches’ providing direct access to main control functions including the radio, air conditioning, 3D connected navigation with voice command, vehicle settings, telephone, mobile applications and hazard warning lights while hybrid models have a specific button allowing access to access information relating to the electric powertrain.

Peugeot has also updated the interior trims available in the new 3008 SUV – Mistral Nappa Leather upholstery with Tramontane stitching available on all trim levels, mid-PET and textile upholstery on Allure/Allure Premium lines, and Red Nappa Leather upholstery and Mistral Black PET/Alcantara lining on GT/GT Premium lines.

Exclusive Dark Lime Wood window winder with chrome inserts and a new ‘Frameless’ rear-view mirror are also available with GT/GT Premium lines.

The GT line also comes with a full panoramic sunroof, fully-electric front seats, auto tailgate with foot motioned opening/closing and smartphone connected navigation.
