Liverpool FC fans around the world celebrated when the club finally secured the English Premier League 2019-2020 title, becoming domestic champions for the first time in 30 years.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has masterminded a near perfect season after 30 wins and three draws from 36 games, with just three defeats. The likes of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Roberto Firmino and captain Jordan Henderson led the way en-route to this historic moment.

Following that achievement, Liverpool also edged Chelsea on penalties after a 2-2 draw to claim the UEFA Super Cup for a fourth time in 2019. The club also broke new ground in December 2019 by lifting the Club World Cup for the first time in Reds history. Jürgen Klopp’s European Cup winners defeated Monterrey and Flamengo to become world champions in Qatar.
“By winning another three trophies namely FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup, Liverpool claimed an unusual achievement,” Zulkarnian added.
Another local Reds fan, Shariman said he is happy that Liverpool FC has such a large number of followers in the sultanate, noting that they have consistently finished in top five of the league in many of the previous seasons.
“We have many gatherings in the past and watch the match live at restaurants in line with the Liverpool motto, ‘You Never Walk Alone’,” he said. “It is because of Liverpool history and the way they play in every match that makes Liverpool followers surging and loyal to the club.”
“Regardless of whether they win or lose, Liverpool supporters are loyal to the manager’s decision. Jurgen Klopp knows what is best for the club despite many critics. He tries many tactics and strategies to win the game and this makes Liverpool differ from other Premier League clubs.”
“Many passionate local fans have also kept old Liverpool jerseys and memorabilias they bought at Liverpool’s football ground in Anfield,” he said.
Another die-hard Liverpool fan, Nora Osman, was also very happy with the club’s achievement. “They have an unbelievable squad, a magnificent manager and great staff,” she said. “Above all my sincere congratulations to every single LFC supporter who has been waiting so long and finally that desired trophy is yours.
