Some 90 trainees comprising students from iSkills and Industrial Skills Qualification (ISQ) programmes at the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE), completed the Personality Development Programme (PDP) for iSkill Cohort 3 students, which lasted for 90 days.
The closing ceremony was held yesterday at the National Service Programme (PKBN) Training Camp in Batu Apoi, Temburong.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Vision) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dr Dayang Hajah Huraini binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hurairah attended the ceremony.
“The objectives of the PDP are to enhance, nurture, and strengthen integrity, discipline, a sense of responsibility, religious principles, and to transform the trainees to be more resilient,” IBTE Director and Chief Executive Officer Dr Haji Mohd Zamri bin Haji Sabli said.
Before undergoing the programme, the trainees had to complete six months of studies at IBTE, followed by three months at Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and three months of work placement. The ceremony also saw awards presented to the best trainees, and a video presentation on some of the trainees’ activities. – Adib Noor
